Lisle public officials spent $9 million of taxpayer money on a "downtown master plan".
This is a picture of the gateway to downtown Lisle - is it any wonder that Lisle has failed to attract shoppers and continues to lose businesses?
Information for Village of Lisle residents about what their public officials are doing (or not doing) to fulfill their responsibilities to constituents. Lisle is a community of hard working people who deserve much better than they're getting from their Mayor and Village Trustees, especially in these difficult economic times: better transparency, better focus on public safety, and much better attention to spending priorities.

ReplyDeleteGreat blog! Glad someone is paying attention to the wasteful spending in Lisle, Illinois!
ReplyDeleteThe Village officials chose to "take" dozens of family homes to build a pond on Rt 53 rather than "take" this one gas station?? I would argue that the better investment to spur business in downtown Lisle would have been to "take" the gas station and leave the people in thier homes (i.e. - people are the ones that will patronize the businesses)
